  • Formative pruning β€” young trees, establish strong structure early
  • Clearance pruning β€” roofs, gutters, powerlines, fences, paths

Frequently Asked Questions

How much can you safely reduce a tree's canopy?
Maximum 25% in a single season. More triggers stress response (epicormic shoots, decline). Large reductions staged over 2–3 years. We follow AS 4373 Pruning of Amenity Trees.
Will pruning stop my tree lifting the pavement?
Root pruning can help but risks tree stability. Better: install root barrier (HDPE 1mm, 600mm deep) between tree and pavement. We assess root plate first with AirSpade.
Do you remove the green waste?
Yes β€” all branches, leaves, chips removed. Chip on site for mulch if you prefer. Large logs cut to firewood lengths (300mm) and stacked if requested.
What qualifications do your climbers hold?
AQF3 Certificate III Arboriculture minimum. Team leads hold AQF5. All current White Card, Working at Heights, EWP (Yellow Card), First Aid. Fully insured.
Can you prune near power lines?
Only Western Power approved contractors within 3m of lines. We are approved. For service drops (house connection), we coordinate Western Power shutdown β€” 10 business days notice.
